‘I’ve moved into this new place, a former shoe factory, and the acoustics in there is just incredible. I’ve purchased a second hand grand piano from a piano tuner in the mountain village of Bunyola. The piano was sounding ok, it had been tempered with and the mechanic is actually from the brand Blüthner. I got together with a piano technician and tweaked the sound to my liking as well as improving the playability. However, the piano sounded differently every single day, so in order to record a coherent sounding thing, the only option was to record in the same day, and even better, in one single take - the idea of Grand Piano Works was born.
